GENERAL SESSION

STORIES

Have you ever wondered if you’re the only one trying to navigate the tension of being Greek and Christian? The stories you’ll hear on stage at Greek Conference are all from people who get it because they’ve lived it too.

James Choung

Our speaker for the weekend, James Choung is a Phi Kappa Theta alumnus from Massachussets Institute of Technology. He lives in Los Angeles, has three kids, and an awesome wife. During recruitment at MIT, he ate a ton of lobster. Originally from Seattle, James was raised in a Christian home, but did not see Jesus as his first priority in life until college. He now serves as InterVarsity’s Vice President of Strategy & Innovation, helping college students all over the country wrestle with the most important question in life.

Student Stories

Sometimes you just need to hear from someone who’s in the thick of it with you. In addition to hearing from Greek alumni, you’ll get to hear from current Greek students about their experience of being Greek and Christian.

MUSIC

Regardless of your background, there’s something here for you. You’ll be greeted with top hits and invited into worship throughout the session. Even if this isn’t a familiar experience for you, we think you’ll find something you like.

Eric Maitlen

Our worship leader for the weekend is Eric Maitlen, Greek IV and Acacia Fraternity alumnus. In his time leading a bible study in his fraternity at Indiana University, Eric saw 10 of his brothers come to faith. You can hear more of his story in The Greek & Christian Podcast. Now, Eric leads worship at Mercy Road Church and leads the nonprofit/band that he and his wife started, Two Eight. Two Eight has partnered with the Indiana Governor's Office to create a tour to empower recovery efforts, break the stigma of addiction, and bring hope to thousands of families who have been affected by fatal overdoses. Eric loves Chinese buffets, he's over five feet tall, and can run a 10-minute mile.

This isn’t your average conference. You won’t just sit and listen; you’ll be an active participant. From competitions to interactive prayer, it’s an experience you won’t forget. Whatever council, school, or Greek organization you’re a part of, this space is for you.
